One of the most major black pop culture shocks during 2011 was the sudden death of Vesta Williams. Many wondered why this legend had not made it to higher levels of success with all of her talent and her fans were sad to see her pass in September at the age of only 53. She was able to capture the worlds’ attention with many of her beautiful lyrics such as one line that Huffington Post remembered recently like,
“Your name is Dracula / You suck the life right out of me . ” – Vesta Williams
