Shaggy
Shaggy is a famous reggae and RnB ( Rhythm and Blues ) singer that broke out in the early and mid nineties having started in 1990. Most notably he has produced hits like “Bombastic”: in 1995 and “It Wasn’t Me” in 2000 which really put him on the world stage and of interest to major labels. Shaggy has been with VP Records, Virgin/EMI Records, and MCA/Universal Records which shows that he is seen as a talent and asset to the big industry players. His name came from his “shaggy” hair which he loves to rock! Originally born Orville Richard Burrell he is currently 42 and is from Kingston Jamaica but moved to Brooklyn New York at 18. Shaggy is the “Seccond reggae artist and the only danchall artist to receive a Diamond Certification for his 2001 album Hot Shot denoting for worldwide sales of more than 10 million copies. 6 million of those copies were sold in the United States.” ( WIKIPEDIA ).
He is known for mixing reggae into his music which you can totally here in songs such as Bombastic as well as Angel.
